It was slipped under my door a little while ago. It's pretty hard to give a reading with just the one card though, I think! I always liked having two or more to fuse together to get something new.
I saw your username and thought maybe you might know something about it.
I think I might. And it sounds like you might know, too.
I put that there because I like cats, but I was also hoping to find some friends of mine. I'd ask if you know someone named Joker... but if you're talking about fusing, I think I should ask instead if you know about something called the Velvet Room.
[It's 8 o'clock! And Kazuya finds himself in front of the ramen place that him and Akira agreed to meet at. And he's dressed... Incredibly casually!!! This is a casual date, right?
He'll wave at Akira when he sees him.]
Hey. Glad you didn't stand me up after I insulted your pickup line.
[Akira isn't that dressed up either, just in the black polo with a heart symbol and jeans that's becoming his mainstay for outings. At least until he feels like he has a comfy stash of chips, that is.
That particular greeting earns Kazuha a small grin and a two-fingered salute.]
If I couldn't take the heat, I wouldn't stay in the kitchen. It wouldn't do if I rejected constructive criticism from a well-meaning source, would it?
[His expression mostly stays mild, but Akira's eyes give away a little more of his delight. He enjoys the teasing, seemingly.]
You gotta go with tonkotsu, right? It's just the best all around.
[Not to say that the other kinds aren't good, but tonkotsu is just so much... heartier. And it's good for a guy like him who doesn't eat that much anyway!]
Besides, any ramen place worth their salt has gotta have good tonkotsu.
[He'll even give a light nudge to Akira with his shoulder, urging him inside. Yeah, he's a little eager to try something that might taste like home. It's been over two months now since he's been home and he misses it.]
[ As much as she enjoyed the closest thing to actual fresh air to be had within the resort, Mitsuru had been avoiding the gardens for reasons. Her last experience there with a particularly troublesome strain of roses and their infamous pollen had left her wary of paying another visit. The Conservatory had seemed like a pleasant compromise, with it being somewhere that, so far, she's never run into any kind of "trouble".
Instead of the quiet walk through it that she was expecting though, Mitsuru is surprised to find the Conversatory abuzz with activity, with staff running hurriedly to and fro. That isn't the only thing the redhead quickly becomes aware of though - the air is thick with some kind of pollen. It makes her sneeze almost immediately - a perfectly normal reaction to this much of the stuff. What follows does seem odd though, she starts to feel light-headed, a little feverish, enough to have her start searching for somewhere to sit, down one of the many pathways. A patio with some vacant seating is located and she takes a seat in a manner perhaps just a little less graceful than she would normally. Any member of staff who stumbles upon her and wants to start fussing over and attending to the Queen of Hearts is hurriedly but politely shooed away until she is completely alone in this part of the conservatory. Perhaps not the best idea given how odd she feels and what may be causing it but she doesn't feel in the mood for fussing.
Lost in thought for a moment as she realises what she is in the mood for, she doesn't immediately notice anyone else approaching. ]
[Aside from the lawn games, his time exploring the mazes in the gardens has been rather benign compared to his previous time in it, so Akira's been a little optimistic about having some more relaxing experiences this month. Things in the conservatory seem even busier, people working hard to keep it clean, so he decides to give it a curious walk around to see if there's another attraction being prepared (or, better yet, more Treasure).
That's his first mistake.
He doesn't immediately encounter Mitsuru, because Akira doesn't immediately realize that something is wrong. He does slow his pace a little as some staff members hurry by, worriedly murmuring about "the Queen being alone." By the time he does notice anything, he's already lurching forward and catching himself on a tree. It's too late.
The staff member's voices close by, the staff further away sweeping - all of it becomes background noise as his skin feels hot, tight, his free hand distractedly rubbing at his chest without any conscious thought. He needs... something, he needs someone, to touch him or hold him or let him breed them or breed him-]
Shit...
[It's gasped under his breath, and Akira hadn't even realized he was panting until that moment. What is this? Something's wrong, but he doesn't know what. He shakily starts walking forward, hopefully towards the exit. This is even worse than when he encountered the aphrodisiac flowers; it was nowhere near this intense.
But he doesn't end up at the exit. Instead he finds a patio and familiar red hair, a piece slotting into place even through his haze as he remembers the girl who was embarrassed at being treated like royalty.]
Kirijo-san...? [No. That's bad, he can't be around her right now, not like this- he needs to be around her-] You shouldn't stay here. It isn't...
[It's so hard to say it, even though he needs to, like throwing a flask of water away from himself in a desert. She could help him, and maybe... maybe he could help her, too...?]
[ Mitsuru hadn't expected anyone to run into her here, not with so many winding pathways through the Conservatory to choose from. The chances of him choosing hers had been remote and yet here he is, the boy she recognises from the mixer event several months prior, as well as around the resort.
She hadn't gotten to know him all that well yet, so she's not sure why she feels a strange, butterfly-like sensation in her lower belly at the sight of him, along with an intense sense of relief... As though he's the potential answer to that deep need she feels growing inside of her the longer she lingers in this place.
By now she feels hot, nigh on unbearably so. She can't keep her eyes off Akira, even as she flicks a lustrous lock of that long red hair of hers over her shoulder in some vague attempt to make herself feel a fraction cooler and less uncomfortable. Gazing at him is suddenly like being faced with an oasis in the midst of a bleak and barren desert. It takes her a moment to answer as her thoughts start drifting in the direction of how he could please her, help her find some relief... ]
Neither should you.
[ And yet here they still. Not attempting to make a break for it. Her tone is pointed as she says it, her face hot, every part of her feels hot...
She remains where she is, on her seat, her merlot eyes becoming almost pleading in their expression, willing him to come to her, to give her what she craves, what she needs- ]
[It was sometime later at night, probably during Akira's patrols or if he's reading or playing or... something. Whatever it is Akira is doing right now, he might need to stop it, especially if he was sitting down for it. There is a man, 181cm tall and looming, reaching up from behind him, hands hovering over his head as he whispers quietly, dangerously.
[Akira's halfway through his body tensing up and sweeping his leg out to protect himself from the perpetrator when the voice finally clicks into place in his memory.
Who else here would sneak up on him like that?]
...Amagi-san. [The tension remains and stretches for just another moment before Akira breathes out, reminds himself Amagi isn't an enemy.] You should be more careful about sneaking up on people.
[His brain catches up with the rest, and it's- that's a reference, isn't it? He's probably just joking around, but... That's the kind of thing Akira has to be careful about. Or at least he used to have to, a lifetime away from the resort when unknowing people around him were speculating about his secret on the daily.]
Anyway, that's pretty surprising considering we didn't meet until the winter.
[He noticed the way he tensed up, but since he hadn't reacted violently, making sure not to touch him had been the right call. He might have, if he felt threatened, but Rinne did enjoy toeing that dangerous line at times.]
It's always summer in my dreams, clearly you should haunt it more often.

Hi. I know a thing or two about tarot reading, but I probably couldn't give you a decent reading on my own.
Unless it means something else to you?

It's a stupid and embarrassing move, but if you want to humiliate yourself, then be my guest.
Don't tell me it's brought out anyone besides me.
the way I had to mark this one for p5r spoilers too I am shutting my eyes so I don't see it
And you should know me, and that I don't mind being the source of what gets people to laugh.
[And also because it's Akira, he saves the most important sucker punch for the end just like Akechi always does.]
I did get an interesting response, as a matter of fact. Did you know you and I aren't the only Wildcards?
youre stronger than me i always forget to mark for spoilers. akechi just spoilers walking
crying... some of my friends are going through Royal so it's always on my mind
ill make sure not to mention [i am immediately taken out by snipers]
