It was slipped under my door a little while ago. It's pretty hard to give a reading with just the one card though, I think! I always liked having two or more to fuse together to get something new.
I saw your username and thought maybe you might know something about it.
I think I might. And it sounds like you might know, too.
I put that there because I like cats, but I was also hoping to find some friends of mine. I'd ask if you know someone named Joker... but if you're talking about fusing, I think I should ask instead if you know about something called the Velvet Room.
You're friends with the long-nose man too, huh? :)
[And that's interesting, because none of the other members of SEES ever entered the Velvet Room, and she'd never explained it as such to them. But also, that confirms it. He's not only a Persona user, but also a guest of the Velvet Room, which probably means he's at least somewhat trustworthy.]
I'm not very good at texting, though. Can we meet up somewhere?
[Complicated...? Well, Igor is kind of a cryptic weirdo, so maybe that makes sense, too.
Anyway, she agrees on the strangeness, but she doesn't bother to say so over text.]
This ramen place in the Early Bird Hall is pretty good. The food's just normal, too, as far as I can tell! I'm actually here right now if you want to meet me. I think I can send a location...? I'm wearing an orange blouse and my hair is in a ponytail. :)
[It takes almost a full two minutes for her to finally figure out how to send her location over to him -- this little Watch with its projectable keyboard is crazy futuristic! She's still trying to figure out all the things it can do -- but she manages it in the end. It's no Hagakure Ramen, but it's tasty enough and, more importantly, she hasn't had any weird effects from eating here. At least, not yet.]
He isn't sure if this person is just unfamiliar with texting or struggling with the Watch itself - both very valid possibilities - but he waits patiently until he sees the location pop up.]
Sounds good, I'll be there in a little bit. Keep an eye out for a guy with glasses and a black polo with a little red heart.
[It's not a hard trip, though he does have to deal with darting around a person or two complaining about his "rank"... It's something he's adjusted to easily enough over the last few days. It's fine; Akira knows how to keep his head down by now.
He isn't really sure what he's expecting to see when he gets there. For so long it had been only him, and then it hadn't been just him anymore... A third was something so far away from his mind, with how the last year has gone.
When Akira arrives and spots who matches the description... she looks just like a normal girl. Probably around his age, somebody that he could share a class with at Shujin. A look that's probably deceiving, considering all the power that she must have at her fingertips.
The little burst of relief in his chest, that he isn't alone in being the Wildcard, is still the same.]
Are you XXII?
the way I had to mark this one for p5r spoilers too I am shutting my eyes so I don't see it
She hasn't mentioned Lavenza yet, but she said she was "friends" with Igor, Lavenza's boss. It's probably plausible she met him before we did, since I never saw her in the Velvet Room.
Maybe not. There's a lot we don't know yet, but we don't have any reason to believe that's what's happening either.
[It feels like a lie tightening his throat as he types, but it's something Akira refuses to focus on right now.]
I'm still talking to her, but I haven't brought up the Phantom Thieves yet until I gauge her as person a little bit more. She hasn't mentioned a rival wildcard either, but it's not outside of the realm of possibility if she exists in the first place.
You said after us, though... You think another person was chosen that quickly?
[She happens to be looking in the opposite direction when he first arrives, so doesn't see him at first; she's kicking her feet lightly beneath the bar, chin in her hands and an empty bowl in front of her as she just watches the other people around. There are a lot of interesting people around, and she can't help but wonder what their stories are. How many of them are like her? Not just whisked away from a normal life, but taken away from their inevitable fate?
The question about her username takes a moment to register, because it's not like she's ever really used that name in real life! But after a second, it's clear she's being addressed, and oh-! Right! She turns in her seat and grins up at the boy wearing a polo and glasses, just as he'd promised.]
Kotone Shiomi! You must be Perso-nya.
[And she does the little paw hand gesture in time with the meow, laughing a little. So this guy is Wildcard...? Or at least knows about the Velvet Room. Honestly, it's kind of a relief that he's so normal-looking -- sure, SEES members were normal(ish...), but those guys from Strega had been through a lot and were easy to peg as suspicious from the start. This guy just looks like any other student.
So she pats the seat beside her in clear invitation.] Nice to meet you!
