CHARACTER
Name: Akira Kurusu
Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Canon point: November 21 (post-interrogation room, passing out in the car before arriving at Leblanc)
Age: 16-17 (birthday unspecified but I'm gonna say newly 17 if that's okay!)
Summary: Akira Kurusu was a regular high school student living in a quiet town - until the night he saw a drunken man trying to force himself on a woman, and when Akira tried to intervene was falsely charged with assaulting that man. Sentenced to carry out probation and leave his hometown, Akira dons fake glasses to make himself look more unassuming as he's shipped off to stay in Tokyo with an acquaintance of his parents' friend. Akira might have tried to live that life as quietly as possible, were it not for falling into the cognitive world and awakening a power in his heart; a Persona, Arsène, the manifestation of his heart's rebellion. For better or worse, Akira can't stand idly by while he witnesses injustice happening right before his eyes, and even if it eventually pins him and his friends between a rock and a hard place, he pursues his new goal of using this power to change the hearts of those that have become corrupted with a fierce and unyielding determination. While that rebellious attitude leaks out in mild ways, such as coolly standing up to Kamoshida when harassed by him or speaking his mind when Goro Akechi speaks out against the Phantom Thieves changing hearts, at his core Akira is still a quietly helpful person that reaches out to people he sees in need. It's a benefit to him as well, because those bonds help strengthen the power of his Personas; the further he opens up to people, is an ear for them to listen, and begins to foster trust in adults when he's been so betrayed by them in the past, the stronger and vaster his power will become. As observant and mindful as he is in his relationships, Akira can still miss things, such as when Morgana's feelings become hurt and he leaves the team because he feels like he's been replaced. It shows a marked difference in Akira when Morgana is gone, and proves how much his friends (but Morgana especially) mean to him - his calm veneer is shaken at least internally, and he's constantly haunted by the thought of where Morgana is and why he didn't notice that something was wrong. His friends give him more than just strength in his Personas; they give Akira strength of character, because the place that he can belong and show more of his true self is with them. It could also be said that in spite of (or perhaps even because of) their clashes and rivalry, Akira shows a lot of his true self to Akechi, as with him he speaks more easily and candidly than he does with nearly any other Confidant.
Powers/abilities: Throughout the Persona series (that for the most part isn't connected outside of being years apart in mostly the same universe), Personas themselves are generally beings that are a person's personality and feelings given form, but each one manifests a little bit differently throughout the games. In Persona 5/Royal, Personas users harness the painful feelings of being taken advantage of, or of others or themselves being wronged, and rebel against it - that form is their "rebellious heart", so to speak. Akira is a unique Persona user because he's a "Wild Card", capable of using multiple Personas (unlike most, who are only capable of using one). However this ability is only capable of being used in the Metaverse, the cognitive world that is projected onto the real world and can be visited through the use of a special app that Akira and the rest of his group have on their cell phones, so most likely his powers will be unusable in Austice. If for some reason he does have them, if it's possible I'd like for him to only have Arsène, whose page I've linked and whose skills I'll briefly list below:
Eiha: Light curse damage to one target.
Cleave: Light Physical damage to one target (but injures himself slightly to use).
Sukunda: Decrease Agility of to one target for a short time.
Dream Needle: Light Gun damage and a medium chance to inflict Sleep on one target (but injures himself slight to use; more damaging than Cleave).
Adverse Resolve: Increases Critical rate when surrounded.
Inventory: Journal
Lockpick
Cell phone
Knife (I'll specify which one if you'd like, I just didn't want to pick anything too strong!)
Model gun (same as Knife)

Inventory:
OTHER
Sentimental item: Akechi's toy raygun from his childhood. For Akira, Akechi is his rival, but he's also his friend. In spite of being betrayed by him and blackmailed, Akira still values him as a person and the time spent with him. The raygun marks a significant time, which is one of the few where Akechi shared something about his past - honesty, versus the Detective Prince mask that he wears from day to day.
Gemstone: Black and red, maybe a little like this black opal without the other colors that show up in light? aside from whatever damage it has, smooth and small enough to fit in the center of his palm<
Lost memory #1: Akira will lose the concept of his "rehabilitation" that Igor brings up in the Velvet Room. It leaves him with a sense of urgency in the bonds that he makes, but leaves him unsettled and unsure as to why he feels this way so strongly, especially with those he's spent less time with.
Lost memory #2: When Akira was drugged in the interrogation room, he lost the memories of knowing that Akechi would betray him and how the Phantom Thieves planned to combat it, then remembered as the drugs started wearing off. Akira will lose the memory of remembering (in essence, losing those memories) - the result is the betrayal stinging more, a wedge of uncertainty and distrust about the "teammate" that sold him out (though he'll probably assume that it's Akechi), and confusion about how he survived.
Altered memory: When Morgana leaves in September, he mostly fights with Ryuuji, but it's a feeling of discontent with the group as a whole. He feels replaced and inferior to Futaba, and is frustrated with the group's inaction. In the original memory, when Akira speaks to him, Morgana doesn't directly respond. In the altered memory, Morgana directly accuses Akira of not caring about their Mementos deal and that Akira only used him when it was convenient for him. This will make Akira more hyperaware of his relationships, and worried there is more manipulation present in his heart than genuine care.
